Official says Fin Min, cbank in talks over Sberbank dividends

WASHINGTON, Oct 21 (PRIME) -- The Russian Finance Ministry and the central bank are in dialogue about Sberbank’s dividends and will take into consideration interests of both sides, Finance Minister Anton Siluanov said on October 19 on the sidelines of a meeting of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and the World Bank (WB).

“We are in dialogue with the central bank, we hear its position but on the other hand we see that the budget counts on these resources. So we are looking for a solution which would allow us both to satisfy the position of the central bank on the one hand, and not to lose budget money on the other ,” Siluanov said.

The minister also said that the government had issued enough rulings saying that state-run companies and banks must pay 50% of their net profit in dividends.
